Project overview. This site was commissioned by a leading healthcare benchmarking firm. They wanted to create an online community where healthcare managers could network to share solutions and information. In addition, the site was to provide a wealth of content for healthcare managers -- informative articles, web resources and performance improvement tips.

• User Profiling and Community Features. The site's peer profile database allows community members to find and collaborate with colleagues who have similar professional interests, work environments or areas of specialization.
• Discussion Board. Healthcare managers share questions and insight on a variety of relevant concerns.
• Improving your Process. A content vehicle for exploring opportunities for improvement in the healthcare field.
• Spotlighting what Works. An online newsletter for healthcare managers.
• Web Resources. A comprehensive database of healthcare websites, complete with a keyword search and user "Suggest a Resource" functions.
• Ballot Box. An instant polling vehicle.
• Healthcare News. Instantly updateable summaries of healthcare news.

User authentication. We developed a user authentication module that met security specifications set by the client's information services department. We coordinated our work with their IS team so that user authentication could be driven by their master valid user table.

Dynamic site administration. We developed a site administration module that allows site administrators to update home page content, instant polls, and web resources in real time through a standard web browser. Administrators could also monitor the discussion board, view site activity by day, by user and by facility, and maintain the membership community.

Periodic site updates. We managed extensive periodic site updates, including editing of major articles, writing of incidental copy, design of accompanying graphic elements, and thorough quality assurance.

Technical support. Our site management contract included ongoing technical support. Our technical staff coordinated its efforts with their customer service team to provide seamless support to their external customers.
