Project
overview. MECON, a leading healthcare benchmarking firm,
commissioned this project to allow their staff to manage leads from
various online sources, including an e-mail newsletter and 2 online
benchmarking calculators. The key objectives of the Lead Management
Module were:
- To consolidate
all leads from current and future sources into a single database
table.
- To provide
a tool whereby the Marketing and Sales Administration Team could
categorize the new leads as they appear.
- To provide
a tool whereby the Marketing and Sales Administration Team could
export selected data for further analysis, for direct import into
a new customer management system, or for use in managing e-mailing
lists.
Site
features. We worked closely with Mecon staff to develop
an administrative module that would combine efficiency and flexibility,
including the following key features:
- Query tools
to allow an administrator to search for leads based on a variety
of characteristics.
- Dynamic
administration to allow administrators to change lead categories
and individual lead entries in real time through a standard web
browser.
- A "view
similar" feature to assist in removing or consolidating duplicate
records.
- The ability
to export the results of any custom query as an Excel spreadsheet
for further analysis.
