Relationships are learned, and if we relate to other people in life, then we are always learning.

Dealing with difficult people is not easy, but here are a few tips about how to deal with toxic people with different attitudes because, when we get any change because of someone else, it harms our productivity and our mental state.

  • You cannot change another person – just yourself. You cannot change what the person does, but you can change how you react to it. It’s not easy, but it’s important to keep that in mind. Reacting aggressively or offensively will not help at all.

  • Set personal boundaries about what you can handle and what you cannot handle. This can help you make day-to-day decisions when the situation is on fire. Helps you hold on a little before doing anything.

  • If this person keeps phoning you or sending messages, make your limits clear. Things like “I do not see my What’s App after hours” or “I’d rather not talk on Skype while I’m working” may be indicators that will make a person “limp?. Many times he/she simply does not know that you have these personal limits because you do not have them yourself.

  • Try to talk to this person in order to help, not to point out faults (which we all have). If you can give feedback on a timely case that shows what he did as an example of the behavior you did not like, it could certainly help him understand his attitudes and maybe change.

  • On the other hand, if such a conversation has already existed and yet no change has taken place, move away from that person. Whenever possible, stay away. If being close to that person changes his mental state, even if it is a limitation of his, it is worth trying to avoid finding it so you do not have to go through it. At worst, you will have to manage well fewer times than this happens.
